How to protect a word file by password

Enter the same password again in the “R e-enter password” edit box and click “OK”.

Click on the Tools button and select the “ General Options…” from the drop-down menu. “ Save As” dialog box will appear on the screen.Click on the “ Save As” section and select the location of the folder where you want to save the document.The “Protect Document” section in the “Info” screen will appear highlighted and displays a message “ A password is required to open this document“.Enter the same password again in the “ Re-enter password” edit box and click “ OK”. Enter a password in the “ Password” edit box and click “ OK”. “ Encrypt Document” dialog box will appear on the screen.
